My Brother

I have a brother, his name is Mike

He used to have a three wheel trike

He got Down Syndrome in Mom's belly

But like any boy he is very silly

Jokes, laughs and pranks galore

Then he will beat me up some more

I have been with him for 8 long years

I'm surprised he has so many peers

He is a little slow

But he is always ready to go

He loves to watch wrestling

He loves to hear that 'Ding, ding, ding'

McDonalds is his favourite food

To the T.V. he is usually glued

He takes swimming and karate

He is somewhat slow with his whole body

He has Miss Leibmann for a teacher

But sometimes he loves to teach her

He has an aide but that's O.K.

Yet he goes through life, day by day

I'm glad to see that people understand

So one day, the disabled can make a stand

He is a little chubby, sometimes can be mean

I can't wait until he is a teen

He always says 'Hello' and always is polite

And he usually takes the bad things and makes them all right

He hates loud noises, they sometimes make him cry

His nick name from me would have to be 'Big Guy'

He is no different than any other

So I will always love Mike, my brother.
